Sergio
Sergio discovered his passion for cutting hair as a teenager. By high school, he was the class barber, giving haircuts to all the kids at lunch time. Sergio’s reputation soon grew beyond his teenage classmates and he was brought on as an apprentice by the well-known local barber, who was a traditionalist in the art of barbering.
Barbering was not quite considered the popular art form that it is today, so in order to pursue his passion for hair-cutting and styling, Sergio enrolled in cosmetology school to study hair-dressing. He apprenticed at two Vidal Sasson-based salons in San Francisco. Sergio’s strong, technically-based training and background in men’s haircutting opened the door to working on photoshoots, fashion shows, and even as an national educator for multiple top hair product brands. He has over 20 years of experience as an independent hair-stylist. As a co-owner of Art + Gold Salon, his clientele includes A-List celebrities and Silicon-valley tech moguls.
