Bobbie
Bobbie was raised in San Jose by her single father̬—with hopes and dreams of one day owning her own auto shop and building motorcycles. All that would change at the age of 16 when she got her first job at a mom & pop salon around the corner from her house. Despite never owning a blow dryer, or even getting a haircut from anyone other than her father, she fell in love with the beauty industry. She was initially hooked on the social aspect of hair-dressing. No matter how they came into the salon, women loved spending time there, and always left feeling happy and beautiful. Bobbie enrolled in a cosmetology program right out of high school.
It was her love of hip hop and Bay Area rap legend Andre Nickatina that brought her to DiPietro Todd Salons and Academy. Nickatina quite often mentioned Fillmore Street in his songs and it was here where Bobbie started her search for a salon. She applied at every single salon up and down Fillmore Street, and struck “gold” when diPietro Todd hired her as an apprentice.
At diPietro Todd, Bobbie worked alongside some of the Bay Area’s most talented colorists, which led her to assisting on photoshoots and fashion shows. It was here she also met her best friends and future business partners, Tanis, Fernando, and Sergio.
After years of working together, their shared passion and ambitions led them to taking a giant leap of faith and opening their own salon together. Their combined decades of experience contribute to their #1 mission of creating a relaxing environment and cultivating a culture of innovative, technically superior, and aesthetically spectacular results.
Bobbie is a color-correction expert who has a reputation for fixing the unfixable. She is also one of the Bay Area’s top texture specialists, certified in non-toxic smoothing treatments and American Wave by Arrojo. She excels at creamy blondes, lived-in brunettes, and multi-dimensional color.
